Playing in the World Series of Poker

Chris Wallace, known to the poker world simply as Fox, is a professional poker player, poker coach and widely respected theorist and author on the game. He remains a student of the game, though he has been a widely respected pro for a number of years and strives to improve his game on a daily basis. While Fox still makes the majority of his living at the tables, his other endeavors in the poker world have taken up a bit more of his time over the last few years.

Poker Coach

Fox has worked with hundreds of students on a variety of games and become known as one of the top coaches in online poker. Fox is responsible for a large number of online pros, and claims that almost anyone can play poker for a living if they are willing to study and put their mind in to it.  He is as proud of the success of his students as he is of his own. Author

Fox recently published his first book No Limits: The Fundamentals of No-Limit Holdem which has been receiving rave reviews from players and writers alike. The book can be purchased at nolimitsbook.com. Every month Fox writes a column called The Online Fox which appears in Poker Pro, Poker Pro Europe and Poker Pro Online magazines. He has also written for Deal magazine, the twoplustwo online magazine, and multiple websites including PokerSoftware.com and Blind Straddle Online Magazine as well as being featured in CardPlayer magazine.  Fox has been a regular feature on the front page of pocketfives.com since it’s inception and his piece on bankroll management remains their most popular article nearly four years after it’s publication.

Video Training

Fox worked with the Real Poker Training when they pioneered the screen capture video training that has become the norm for online poker training sites.  In conjunction with his partner Adam Stemple, he also ran one of the first serious poker training sites at PokerFox.net until it’s purchase by PokerXFactor.com in March of 2008. Fox is now the head cash game instructor at Poker X Factor, one of the largest and most respected poker training sites in the world. If you join PokerXFactor, use the bonus code FOX50 (all caps) and you will pay only $50 to join, saving you nearly $70 off the standard price.

Software Expert

Fox realized the power and potential of software to help improve his game early on, and continues to increase his knowledge of software ranging from tracking software like PokerTracker and Holdem Manager to ICM calculations and complicated hand analysis using a variety of applications. His work with PokerSoftware.com has helped him stay up on the latest software and exposed him to a huge variety of software in the process of reviewing and using hundreds of programs.

Rakeback and Bonus Expert

Fox built his initial bankroll with the assistance of bonus programs from a number of different sites, and while so-called “bonus whoring” is not so profitable as it was back in those early days, rakeback has taken it’s place and can be very profitable. A cash game player without rakeback has a very tough road ahead of him these days and there are many low-limit pros who survive on rakeback almost exclusively.

Fox runs a rakeback site at PokerWhip.com in conjunction with Adam ‘Hatfield’ Stemple, which was initially open only to a few select pros who were tired of fly-by-night rakeback sites running off with their cash. The response to the site was very good, and since the mechanism was already in place, they opened up the site to the public and allow anyone to take advantage of the maximum percentages on all major sites and networks and excellent customer service.
